Mikela grew up on the coast of Maine, studied Environmental Science and Policy at Clark University in Massachusetts, and spent some time as the Environmental Specialist at an affordable housing nonprofit before making the move to Missoula in 2021.
Soon after moving, she discovered the world of biking as a tool for community building, activism around equitable sustainable transportation, joy and liberation.
They are always excited about finding new ways to combine passions for climate justice, social justice, grassroots community organizing, worms, bikes, plants and dirt through the Soil Cycle community and beyond.

Henry Watson
he/him
Operations Manager
Henry Watson is an environmental sociologist at heart. He is committed to strengthening people's connection to their environment, from local food systems to city planning. As a recent graduate, Henry has two degrees in environmental studies, one from the University of Connecticut and the other from the University of Montana.
In his free time, Henry enjoys hiking, gardening, fly-fishing, hanging with his cat, Zoe, and playing baseball. Plus, he's working on turning his environmental dystopian thesis into a full-length novel!
He also works as the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project and as the Community Outreach & Development Associate with the Clark Fork River Market.
He takes care of the Soil Cycle compost and gardens, and loves our worms as if they were his own.
